Xiaomi: MIUI 12 brings more potential to screenshots

Xiaomi introduced MIUI 12 in its Global version last week and the first models will start receiving it as early as next week. But in the meantime, the company continues to add new features to its interface.

The latest feature added will change the way you take screenshots. With MIUI 12 you will be able to select only the parts of the screen that you want to be recorded.

MIUI 12 allows partial screen captures

The video above is very informative about the potential of this novelty. It will be possible to select parts of the screen as you wish or use a square or circle to delimit what you want to be recorded in an image.

Once you choose what you want, it is provided at the bottom various options. You will be able to do everything again, edit, share or save the generated image.

How to access the partial screenshot

The gestures necessary to trigger this feature are quite simple. Just click and hold with three fingers to show the options mentioned above. In addition, you can press and hold the home button, in case you do not use the navigation gestures.

Once one of these procedures is performed, everything will be done as explained above. Basically, this new option will allow you to take more selective screenshots and allow unwanted information to be shared.
