Xiaomi, the maker of mobile devices that has conquered the world with its low-cost, high-value smartphones. The price/quality ratio is part of your DNA and soon we will have a new top of the range. But no, it will not be the Xiaomi Mi 7. This “boy” will arrive a little later, with a “monocle” not to out of fashion and with Snapdragon 845 from Qualcomm. Your operating system also no longer holds surprises, it will be Google’s Android Oreo.

The next high-end smartphone from the Chinese manufacturer will be the Xiaomi Mi MIX 2S. A small improvement compared to the Mi MIX 2 model presented last September. It will also bring the new Snapdragon 845 processor, Qualcomm’s new flagship. This will be the  SoC you should look for on any flagship smartphone during 2018. Xiaomi knows this …

Similarly, in 2018 you should look for a smartphone that gives you the Android Oreo operating system (in versions 8.0 or 8.1). Now, after yesterday the portal XDA Developers have analyzed the firmware (system software) and have detected the presence of several peculiar points. Among them, support for the monocle and a mechanism similar to Face ID.

Recently we have also seen some rumors that Xiaomi Mi 7 has been purposely late. This is so that the brand can further develop the product, endowing it with more trumps. In this way, the brand has decided to bring a Mi MIX 2S to keep the  mediaoccupied and consumers interested in the brand. This rumor was advanced by a nearby industry source via Twitter  Mocha RQ.

Xiaomi Mi 7 will arrive later, will bring the Snapdragon 845

In terms of technical specifications, the Xiaomi Mi 7 will surely count on the Snapdragon 845 processor from Qualcomm. This top-of-the-range “engine” will be the most sought-after during the year 2018. Incidentally, if you plan to purchase a new Android smartphone this year you should be aware of these names – Snapdragon 845 from Qualcomm. The mobile platform ( SoC ) consisting of an octa-core (4 × 2.7 GHz Kryo 385 Gold & 4 × 1.7 GHz Kryo 385 Silver). It has a base processing frequency value of 1.7GHz. Being able to reach maximum frequencies of 2.7GHz for the most demanding tasks and applications. It is further complemented by the Adreno 630 graphics to take care of all graphics and image processing.

Note that in addition to the Xiaomi Mi 7, also the Xiaomi Mi MIX 2S will arrive in late March with the Qualcomm Snapdragon 845 processor. It will also come with Google’s Android Oreo operating system. Also, it with the own interface of the brand, the MIUI in its version 9. The latter will be a phablet, large smartphone coming soon to the market.

Xiaomi Mi MIX 2S arrives on March 27, also with Android Oreo

According to some rumours, the launch of this Mi MIX 2S will serve to keep the media and the public interested in the brand. This while the manufacturer prepares the Xiaomi Mi 7 to win consumer preference as soon as it is announced. This could be the first Xiaomi smartphone to bring a fingerprint reader under the screen.

This technology is not yet fully ready for large-scale use and, for example, does not work if the user applies a film to the smartphone screen. On the other hand, with a launch between May and June, the Chinese manufacturer could devote itself completely to the development of this new means of authentication for the smartphone. After Vivo, Xiaomi may be the manufacturer to generalize this technology. We hope so!

Fingerprint reader on the Xiaomi Mi 7 screen?

It would indeed be a huge asset for this Xiaomi Mi 7, beyond, of course, its powerful processor Snapdragon 845. Moreover, the presence of Android Oreo also comes as no surprise. It is normal for the Android manufacturer to (finally) use the latest version of this operating system. It will have the brand’s own interface, MIUI in version 9.

6.01 inch OLED screen, manufactured by Samsung

We can also count on a 6.01-inch screen OLED technology on the Xiaomi Mi 7. It is said to be a panel produced by South Korean Samsung. Also unsurprising will be its  18: 9 or 19: 9 ratio to accommodate the monkey, notch or cutout at the top of the smartphone screen.

Finally, it is also not surprising the presence of wireless charging for the battery of this smartphone. We will have here this new feature that will allow you to put the smartphone to charge. This, of course, if you have a loading base for that purpose.

It is believed that the battery of the smartphone has a capacity of 3,170mAh. It will also have fast charging in addition to wireless charging. The device will have a Type C USB port, without the 3.5mm audio jack (probably).
