WhatsApp has a new feature in groups

WhatsApp is one of the most widely used communication applications in the world. The new app update brings functionality to groups that some admins will love.

At the moment WhatsApp still does not have much competition. The biggest competition is still from your Facebook sister application “Facebook”. Both applications are part of the huge Facebook network.

With the new update users have the possibility to further coordinate the groups in which they are administrators. After the ability to delete sent messages, administrators can now mute the group completely.

To be more specific, administrators can define that only they can write to the group. It seems a somewhat narcissistic measure, though, is one of the most anticipated so far.

WhatsApp adds “mute” group members to the managed ones

There are groups of WhatsApp made by companies that merely serves to advertise promotions. Or WhatsApp groups for bottomless organizations who just want to get the message across about their work.

This feature is gradually coming to iOS and Android. If you are an administrator of a WhatsApp group and this is a measure that interests you, you only have to activate the feature in the group settings.

Just go to the group, click on the “settings” and the definition of “send messages” click “administrators only”. Please note that the update may not yet arrive on your smartphone. If this is the case, it will only take a few days and you will see that possibility.

This is yet another justification for companies continuing to use WhatsApp for their business. The application is leagues ahead of competitors and I sincerely hope that applications like Telegram may one day have the same impact.
