The smartphone comes with a “Full” Super AMOLED Ultra FullView screen of 6.59 inches with a screen-to-screen ratio of 91.24% and a screen resolution of 2316 x 1080 pixels. All sensors in the device are hidden underneath the screen. So instead of a handset, we have Screen SoundCasting technology that promises good sound quality.
Due to the narrow frames surrounding the screen, Vivo needed to create a unique solution for the front camera that we had already addressed so many times in Leak. Thus, one of the highlights of this smartphone is a camera that hides in the frame itself. In this way the user only needs to activate it in the camera application and it is revealed. This process is controlled by precision motors.
Vivo’s new bet introduces fingerprint analysis technology that is already in the third generation. According to the company, it increases the screen unlock time by 10% and improves its operation. On the back is a dual-chamber configuration consisting of a 12-megapixel sensor, f / 1.8 aperture and 4-axis optical image stabilization and a 5-megapixel sub-sensor with f / 2.4 aperture.
This Device also has Vivo Game Engine, which was developed in partnership with Tencent Games. The goal is to provide a more immersive gaming experience based on software and hardware optimization. At the same time, it is also optimized to run games developed with the Unreal Engine engine.
In parallel, Vivo NEX also has 7.1-channel 3D audio.
The Vivo NEX smartphone will be available in three variants. The top-of-the-line model, called Vivo NEX S, comes equipped with the Qualcomm Snapdragon 845 processor. To this is added the Adreno 630 graphics card, 8 GB of RAM and 256 GB of internal storage.
The mid-range variant has the same specifications as the top-of-the-range variant, less in storage. In this model we found 128 GB of capacity.
The cheaper variant of the three, called Vivo NEX A, comes with the recently released Snapdragon 710 from Qualcomm along with 6 GB of RAM and 128 GB of internal storage. All models are powered by a 4.000mAh battery with 22.5W fast charging bracket. Connectivity options on the devices include Dual 4G VoLTE, Wi-Fi 802.11 ac (2.4GHz / 5GHz) 2 × 2 MIMO, Bluetooth 5 LE, GPS + GLONASS and USB Type-C.
These smartphones come equipped with the company’s personal assistant, Jovi, which works with artificial intelligence technology. It supports various features such as intelligent map reading, encyclopedia, shopping, translation, among others.
Vivo NEX will be available in two color options – Black and Red. The top-of-the-line model has 8GB of RAM and will cost about 780 Euros. The average range is around 700 euros. On the other hand, the cheapest variant costs around 600 Euros.
