Nokia (owned by HMD Global), has done an excellent job updating its Android line Device. The most funny thing is that Android 10 will arrive at an Device almost “ancestral” : Nokia 1.
This is one of the most modest and cheapest devices Nokia has ever launched, at 2018. Nokia’s product director, Juho Sarvikas, proudly reported that Nokia 1 will receive Android 10 Go Edition.
This is a lighter version of Android 10, so that Nokia 1’s weak specifications can take advantage of the new version of the operating system. So far, the update is being sent to 13 countries, where Portugal is not included for
The humble specifications of Nokia 1
- 4.5 inch IPS LCD screen
- Resolution of 480 x 854
- MediaTek processor MT 6737 1.1 GHz M
- 1 GB RAM
- 8 GB of internal storage
- 5 MP rear camera
- 2 MP front camera
- Removable battery from 2150 mAh
- Originally released with Android 8.1 Oreo
- Launch price: 100 euros
Compared with Device of the same value today, the specifications of the Nokia 1 are practically ridiculous. However, it is a device that continues to be updated, through Nokia’s efforts. Of course, the fact that it is an Android Go device also helps.
In any case, this type of situation only leaves us wondering: how is it that a Samsung, Huawei or even Xiaomi are more concerned creating your customizations than updating Android from scratch more often?
We would like to ask you: would you rather have a device with 3-4 Android updates and less “personality” or keep things as they are? Tell us in the comments box!
