In its first disclosure of financial results as a publicly listed company, Spotify has revealed that it has reached 75 million paying subscribers globally.
The result represents a considerable growth compared to the last quarter of last year, when the company registered 71 million paying. In total, the platform already has 170 million monthly active users.
The company expects that next quarter will see a new growth, with results between 79 million and 83 million paying. By the end of the year, the expectation is that a number between 92 and 96 million subscribers will be reached.
Leading rival of the streaming platform, Apple Music surpassed the 40 million paying users in April this year.
