Spotify is the most used music streaming service in the world and so it was a surprise that it did not have a timer to automatically turn off music playback. Well, without much fuss, the latest version of its application for Android finally receives this possibility.
From now on, you can set yourself, natively, when you want Spotify to hang up. To do this, you only have to click on the three points – below the Sharing – option on the playback screen. From there, there will be several options that you will have at your disposal.
Imagine, then, that you are one who likes to listen to music while you sleep. With this new feature, you can set how long the song will continue to play. Therefore, at the end of this time, Spotify will automatically stop playback so that you can sleep rested.
This new feature only sins because it has not arrived earlier
Present in the market since 2008, it was with some amazement that Spotify users were faced with this absence. Several other applications already allowed such, which made this absence even more noticeable.
In fact, a simple search by the Play Store shows us the existence of a large panoply of external applications just for this purpose. Applications that have nothing to do with the company Spotify and that offered the same possibility.
Some of these apps even have more than one million downloads. Some of them work with Youtube, Google Play Music, TuneIn, and others.
So, the reign of these applications – at least for the purposes of Spotify – now comes to an end. You no longer need to have another application just to be able to enjoy something that should have been present in the official application for a long time.
That said, you just need to update your Spotify app to enjoy this new timer. If the update is not yet available for your smartphone, it will certainly be a matter of time until you are.
