It was at the Mobile World Congress that Sony introduced the Sony Xperia XZ2. That’s it. Two months after the debut of the top of the range and a few weeks after making it available for pre-sale, behold Sony officially unveils the Sony Xperia XZ2 Premium.
Sony is probably one of the brands that best know how to devalue the money of its customers. I do not want to say that XZ2 is not worth the investment, I think it’s too early to “kill” a top of the line this way.
I know that the terminals may not even fit the same segment, but it’s the same as seeing a Galaxy S9 being revealed in the MWC and now we’ll see Note 9 being presented. Even worse, the Xperia XZ2 Premium fits into the XZ range and gives you improved features. Naturally, the “Premium” model is not for the XZ2 as Note is for the “S”.
Looking at the device itself, I think you’ll be happy to see that the Japanese brand has revealed important features. The handset arrives with a 5.8 “inch screen with 4K HDR resolution protected by Corning Gorilla Glass 5.

The Qualcomm Snapdragon 845 processor is the same as the XZ2 processor, at least that. The smartphone offers us 6GB of RAM and 64GB of internal memory. You can increase storage with MicroSD with a further 400GB.
The smartphone gives us a design identical to the XZ2. This reflects the rear curve, biometric sensor in the centre and glass construction with wireless charging.
The chambers deserve attention as well. The Sony Xperia XZ2 premium gives us a dual 19MP + 12MP camera with electronic stabilization and the same recording capability at FullHD at 960 fps.
