The Android Go platform has been unveiled by Google to give new life to entry-level smartphones. Those that usually arrive with well-measured specifications and a price in agreement.
To do this, Google does a refinement of the entire operating system, as well as the applications available to it. In both cases dispensing with what is unnecessary to its full functioning, in order to give them a better performance.
Thinking especially of this type of devices, Qualcomm will already be developing two new processors. The Snapdragon 429 and Snapdragon 439 will be the direct successors of Snapdragon 425 and SD435.
Snapdragon 429 and Snapdragon 439 to focus on Android Go devices
Whoever advances us with this data is known leakster Roland Quandt. The publisher WinFuture gives us the first information about the two new processors from Qualcomm.
According to him, both the SD429 and SD439 will be mostly seen on devices with Android Go. However, nothing prevents manufacturers from using them on other types of smartphones.
As for technical details, Quandt was only able to give us some data on the Qualcomm Snapdragon 439. This will be a modified version of the Snapdragon 625. It will be a SoC with eight ARn Cortex-A53 processing cores of 14nm.
That being so, we will have to wait until both processors are officialized so we know more details about them. Then yes, we will know all the technical details of these SoC’s, something that will give you an idea of their potentialities.
