Artificial Intelligence is becoming increasingly ubiquitous in our lives. There are several companies that already bet on this technology, everything with the purpose of making our life simpler. Take, for example, the case of Google with its Google Home that has been on the market for some years and that has been showing more and more useful. In the case of Samsung, this is still far behind the competition in this niche market.
Instead of adopting one of several proposals already on the market, the South Korean company wanted to enter it by its own foot. This year we saw the birth of Bixby, an Artificial Intelligence developed by Samsung itself and made its debut in the new Galaxy S8 and Galaxy S8 +.
It is well known that Bixby is still very limited in its direct competition. Samsung still has a long way to go in developing it so it can look directly at a Google Assistant or Alexa. However, the technological giant shows no signs of giving up.
In the past, DJ Koh, president of Samsung’s mobile division,
Google Home will have competition from Samsung next year
Without major surprises, Bloomberg anticipates that this device should be based on Bixby, the home’s IA. Its main focus will be on sound quality and intelligent device management. In fact, this gadget should be compatible with the most varied Samsung products, be it a smartphone, TV, refrigerator or others.Whoever advances with this possibility is Bloomberg, in a new report. So far there still seems to be an official nomenclature for this smart speaker, but its selling price should be around € 200.
The vague launch window that is advanced is mainly due to the fact that this new smart speaker still does not deal well with searches on the web by voice commands. There will be some work here developed by Samsung engineers, which still does not allow us to advance an exact date for its launch.
The question we can raise in the face of this information is whether this device will still come in time for the market. With so much quality competition already established in the market, will there be room for a gadget based on Bixby? Leave us your opinion below in the comments.
