Samsung Galaxy Note 9 is presented with a 6.4-inch QHD + display and 6GB of RAM

Today Samsung presented Galaxy Note 9 with a 6.4-inch display, which should compete with the upcoming 6.5-inch iPhone X Plus from Apple.

As for design, Galaxy Note 9 is similar to Galaxy Note 8, but it has some minor changes. On the front side, the smartphone looks the same as Note 8, and the main design changes are visible from the rear. The upper and lower frames on the screen are slightly thinner, but the difference is too small for it to catch sight. The display size became slightly larger than last year’s 6.4-inch Note 8. Aspect ratio remains 18.5: 9, and resolution QHD +. The smartphone is also certified Mobile HDR, which indicates its high quality.

Unlike the Galaxy S9, Note 9 left a horizontal dual camera. The fingerprint sensor was moved below the camera to make it easier to reach it. Note 9 still has an aluminum frame and Gorilla Glass glass panels in front and behind. For comparison, Apple switched the frame from stainless steel to the iPhone X last year and plans not to break the trend this year.

As for the technical specifications, Galaxy Note 9 has basically the same content as the S9 +. Depending on the region, it will be equipped with a Snapdragon 845 or Exynos 9810 processor. To avoid overheating, the smartphone is equipped with an advanced cooling system. The smartphone also contains 6GB of RAM, 128 / 512GB of internal memory, a microSD card slot and a 4000mAh battery with a USB-C charging connector. The new model not only does not have a notch on the screen, Note 9 still retains the headphone jack.

Among other features of the smartphone: iris scanner, face recognition unlock, NFC system, Wi-Fi ac, Bluetooth 5.0, a set of different sensors and stereo speakers.

The camera remained the same. The main lens – 12Mp f / 1.5 with an additional aperture f / 2.4 and LED flash, optical image stabilization remained the same fast. Additional lens – 12Mp f / 2.4 with optical image stabilization. Samsung has updated not only the camera itself, but also the application, adding to it the functions of artificial intelligence. In addition to automatically switching to the appropriate mode depending on the scene, the camera application also automatically warns users if the photo can get blurred.

The best in Note 9 is the new S Pen. Now it has Bluetooth, which greatly expands its capabilities. In addition to detecting 4096 pressure points, S Pen can also be used to switch camera modes, slide presentation slides, etc. S Pen now has a supercapacitor to provide Bluetooth LE. This allows the S Pen to charge in as little as 40 seconds, but only for 30 minutes of standby time.

Despite the fact that Google has already released Android 9.0 Pie earlier this week, Note 9 will be released with Android 8.1 Oreo with an interface from Samsung. It is not known when the update Pie for Note 9 will be released. The smartphone also supports Bixby 2.0 with the integration of third-party applications and services. In addition, the new model handles speech more quickly and reacts to commands.
