Realme is getting ready to launch the first Smart TV with SLED technology!

Since its inception a few years ago, it was quite clear that Realme had every intention of following in the footsteps of Xiaomi, in an attempt to become a real threat to its success. Over the past few months we have confirmed that this strategy would not only apply to smartphones, but also in the remaining segments.

After venturing into the entry-level segment in the world of Smart TVs, the manufacturer is now prepared to take a giant leap in the high-end segment. After a few weeks of great secrecy, the first details about Realme Smart TV SLED 4K were finally revealed.

In addition to confirming the size of your first premium Smart TV (55 “inches), the manufacturer also revealed that it will debut a new LED panel technology. Its proprietary technology comes under the name” SLED “and promises an impressive performance.

What are the major differences brought by Realme’s Smart TV SLED?

No great details were revealed on the specifications of this Smart TV, having only been superficially explained how SLED technology works.

Developed in partnership with John Rooymans – SPD scientist ( Spectral Power Distribution ) – SLED technology promises a wider color gamut and considerably lower blue light emissions.

Realme’s explanation for low emission the blue light is very simple. QLED panels have a blue backlight, which is then converted to the remaining colors. In the case of Realme SLED, the backlight is already done with RGB lights, thus reducing the amount of blue light emitted.

Thanks to this RGB backlight, they also promise a more natural representation of colors, considerably increasing the entire user experience.

As you would expect, Realme Smart TV SLED 4K has already received TUV Rheinland certification thanks to the low emission of blue light. Interestingly, this is so far one of the few Smart TVs with LED panels to achieve this certification.

There is still no information on a possible presentation date or launch price, but it is believed that it should not take a long time before Realme presents its first high-end Smart TV.
