This is the first mobile/processor platform of the new 700 series from Qualcomm, the new range that aims to bring cutting-edge technology to more affordable smartphones. Moreover, according to information leaks this Snapdragon 710 will be the processor of the Xiaomi Mi 8 SE.

This processor places itself immediately above the 6xx series and immediately below the 8xx series. It has advanced capabilities for Artificial Intelligence (AI) and a total of 8 processing cores. At the frequency of processing, it reaches 2.2Ghz.

That said, calling the Snapdragon 710 a midrange processor is … an offence. Still, we can not consider it a top of the range in the perfect and full extent of the word. This title is reserved for Snapdragon 845 by North American Qualcomm.

Here, since there is still no smartphone with this brand new processor, consumers do not know how their performance will be. Now, to quiet our curiosity, we have the first results of benchmark tests at GeekBench.

Snapdragon 710 is the latest mobile platform from Qualcomm

This same processor can also embark on the promising Vivo NEX. Moreover, it is practically a certainty its presence in the new Xiaomi Mi 8 SE. Then we can see several of the parameters tested in Geekbench. It also shows us a comparison with the performance achieved by the Samsung Galaxy Note 8 in the version with the Snapdragon 845 from Qualcomm. Overall, although not a top performance, the difference is not very significant, as these indicators show.

Being notoriously more powerful than a mid-range processor, Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 710 will be one of the most coveted SoC’s of 2018. Combining power, energy savings and a higher price, it will bring cutting-edge technologies to a not-so- prices.

Xiaomi Mi 8 SE should use this Qualcomm SoC

It should also be noted that the processor that should integrate the Xiaomi Mi 8 SE is built according to the same process as the Snapdragon 845, so at 10nm. We have here an extremely powerful nucleus and, at the same time, quite spared in consumption.

More specifically, Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 710 includes two Kryo 360 Cortex A75 cores with a maximum frequency of 2.2GHz. It also has 6 cores with a maximum frequency of 1.7Ghz, which are optimized for energy savings.

It also has the Adreno 616 graphics which promises a 35% increase over the GPU of Snapdragon 660 . We will soon be confirming your presence on the next Xiaomi mobile device.
