OnePlus confirms Android P for OnePlus 5 and 5T
Android P for OnePlus 5 and 5T comfirmed

It was on Google I / O that Google officially unveiled Android P. In conjunction with this presentation the Mountain View company also announced that more terminals would receive the Beta version of the system.

OnePlus 6 was one of the chosen to welcome the new version, well, OnePlus has now confirmed that the OnePlus 5 and 5T would also be awarded the new Android version.

Not surprisingly, however, today it is important to note that many companies are leaving their equipment aside when it comes to upgrades.

The OnePlus 5 and 5T, released last year, remain one of the monsters on the market. The equipment has good specifications, a sublime construction quality and high quality cameras for the price presented.

OnePlus 5 and 5T will get Android P more towards the end of the year

You can buy a OnePlus 5 or 5T for less than € 500 and I know with absolute certainty that you will not be sad about your choice.

In an official statement of the brand, the OnePlus has just confirmed that the OnePlus 5 and 5T receive the new version of Android, Android P, towards the end of the year.

We still do not know if this version of Android P will be Beta or the official version that will soon be released for the Google Pixel and all the equipment involved in the Beta version.

Things that will change on Android P

1-  Support for smartphones with Notch:  Notch first arrived with Essential Phone to the Android world. Google knows that Android manufacturers will bring this much-criticized feature. So, it offers support for developers in the face of this new trend.

2-  Google Assistant is smarter:  Google Assistant will have a greater focus on Android Q. With the new update the developers will be able to implement the wizard in their applications. It’s a matter of time until it becomes even more customary to talk to your smartphone instead of writing.

3- Privacy Enhancement:  The privacy issues of recent times have made Google look closely at this situation. Users will have maximum control over the information they provide to applications. Developers will not be able to access the camera or location when the application is not open.

4 –  Forget old applications:  When a user installs an application that was not designed for Android versions above 4.2, they will be informed of problems that may exist. Especially security and bugs. Developers will be forced to update their apps.

5-  Battery mode will be different:  Forget the huge orange in the bottom bar when the smartphone is saving battery. Instead you will have a notification indicating that you have the active mode.

6- Biometric sensor will work as a “continuous on”:  When your smartphone tries to fall asleep, a simple touch on the biometric sensor will allow the screen to turn on.

There are still no concrete dates for the arrival of Android P in OnePlus 5 and 5T. However, these confirmations are a breath of fresh air for all those who were afraid that this would not happen.
