So, there we have it, Meiigoo S8 in its black body resembling a lot the more expensive Samsung S8 / S8 Plus. In the premium-looking packaging, we also find an “explosion-proof” screen protector, a clear protective case, SIM removal tool, a charger, a USB data cable and user manual; pretty much all the necessary accessories.
This all looks nice but what’s the real hardware? Well, let’s begin with the 6.1-inch display at the front that features the trendy 18:9 display aspect ratio, plus it’s also coated in 3D curved glass and sports a screen-to-body ratio as high as 83%. Under the hood we find a good performing MediaTek MT6750T chipset clocked at 1.5GHz, 4GB RAM and 64GB internal storage. Finally the device gets a dual camera setup on the back with 13MP + 5MP resolutions, below them a fingerprint scanner; meanwhile, at the front, there’s a 5MP selfie shooter.
The Meiigoo S8 is light on by a good 3300mAh non-removable battery and runs on the latest Android 7.1 Nougat out of the box.
The Meiigoo S8 can be pre-ordered over at Gearbest for just $199.99.
