One of the main promises of the manufacturer is to be able to offer its users updates for new versions of Android faster than the competition. In this sense, it has managed to present its users with very fast updates.
After revealing a list confirming that virtually all of its smartphones will eventually receive the new Android Pie, HMD Global has now officially confirmed that Nokia 7 Plus will receive the upgrade to the final version of Android Pie as early as September.
In order to deliver on its promises, the Finnish manufacturer has chosen to launch all its 2018 smartphones with Android One. In other words, they all run a pure version of the operating system. In this way, the entire process of preparing for the launch of new updates is much faster.
The Nokia 7 Plus will be the first with SD660 to receive Android Pie
Integrated into the beta program of Android Pie, it would be expected that Nokia 7 Plus was one of the first to receive the update for the new version of Android. Confirmation was given by Juho Sarvikas – Chief Product Officer of HMD Global – at an event held in New Delhi. In such a way, Nokia 7 Plus will be the first smartphone equipped with the Snapdragon 660 processor to receive the update.
Although an exact timeline has not been revealed on the updates of the remaining smartphones of its portfolio. Several other devices are expected to receive the update over the next few months. So the next on the list will be Nokia 8 Sirocco and Nokia 6.1.
