Samsung Company spoke about the features of the new ISOCELL-sensors, which are very likely to be installed in the cameras of the flagship Galaxy S9 and Galaxy S9 Plus. The manufacturer focused primarily on the speed and accuracy of focusing and the ability to capture slow motion video.
The second feature of the new sensors is the ability to shoot slow-motion video at a rate of 480 frames per second with Full HD resolution. Presumably, the HD frequency will be increased to 960 fps, as in Sony’s latest flagship. For comparison, last year’s Galaxy S8 can only shoot 240 fps in HD.
From unofficial sources it is known that the Galaxy S9 camera will be able to change the aperture value from f / 1.5 to f / 2.4 depending on lighting conditions and shooting scenarios.
The official presentation of Galaxy S9 and Galaxy S9 Plus will take place at the end of next month at MWC 2018.
