This chipset integrates the PowerVR GE8320 graphics card that supports HD + displays with 1600 x 720 pixel resolution and 20: 9 aspect ratio. In addition, it has the capacity to support a dual camera configuration of up to 13 + 8 megapixels or a single camera with 21.
The Helio A22 is developed with TSMC’s 12nm manufacturing process, which guarantees a faster processor by 30% and a faster graphics card by 72%, compared to the more direct competitor, Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 425 SoC.
MediaTek’s new bet also supports artificial intelligence, face-up unlocking and the creation of smart photo albums.
Also noteworthy is the integration of MediaTek NeuroPilot technology, which enables programmers and device manufacturers to access an artificial intelligence system compatible with the Android neural network API.
In the field of connectivity, the Helio A22 supports download speeds in LTE up to 300Mbps and uploading 150Mbps. It also supports dual-SIM smartphones and supports VoLTE. Also noteworthy is Bluetooth 5.0.
It is important to note that the first smartphone to use the Helio A22 chipset from MediaTek has already been released and is nothing more, nothing less, than the Xiaomi Redmi 6A.
