The Konami announced that despite disseminate promotional material with the team, the company no longer has the reproduction rights of the German team Borussia Dortmund for Pro Evolution Soccer 2019.

“Borussia Dortmund was included in some of the promotional images of Pro Evolution Soccer 2019. Note,that unfortunately, it will not be in the product.”

“Konami and Borussia Dortmund had a license agreement with respect to the use of the logo, players, stadium and other elements of Konami’s products until June 2020,” the statement said. “But this agreement was terminated prematurely by Borussia Dortmund.”

Therefore, none of the elements of the German team will not be reproduced in the football game of the Japanese publisher.

“Make it clear that the PES series will continue to provide new ways to enjoy football through new partnerships with various teams and leagues.”

PES 2019 comes out on August 29 for PC , PS4 and Xbox One . The game will not have versions for PS3 and Xbox 360.
