Broadcom is a major supplier to Apple. And the CEO of this company has now come to give bad news to all those waiting for the iPhone 12: the launch will be postponed.
These are statements that come after several rumors, and come through the voice of Broadock's chief executive, Hock Tan. In a conference with analysts, this will have revealed a “major delay in the product cycle of an American smartphone client.”
Launch of the iPhone 12 in September is set aside
The executive does not refer directly to Apple, but Bloomberg attests that it is no longer the first time that this refers to the apple company in this way. The hypothesis of a launch in September is thus ruled out.
Broadcom says that its wireless component revenues (which it supplies to Apple) will happen just a half-year later than usual. This means, therefore, that the new iPhone will be launched in one of the last three months of the year.
It is good to remember that, as usual, the new iPhone 12 would be released during September. This means that orders would arrive at Broadcom around July, which the executive guaranteed will not happen this year.
As expected, it was the Covid pandemic – 19 that ended up delaying the iPhone launch 12. In a year when a good part of your employees had to work from home for some time, it will be necessary to wait a little longer than usual to get to know the new models.
