Intel plans to launch first dedicated graphics chip card by 2020

The Intel announced on Tuesday (12) plans to launch its first dedicated graphics chip in 2020.

The company’s focus on the project, however, should be on the use of this hardware for high-performance computing, especially for projects involving artificial intelligence processing.

This market is currently dominated by companies such as Nvidia and AMD and has great potential for growth because of the increased demand for use of artificial intelligence systems by companies.

The Intel project will be coordinated by Raja Koduri, a former AMD executive who takes over as the company’s architectural leader in December.
