We recently mentioned in Leak that Huawei was working on a third Mate 20 device. Since this manufacturer has always released a Porsche Design version along with standard and Pro, we imagined it to be this one. However, this manufacturer had a big surprise up its sleeve. Instead of Mate 20 Porsche Design, Huawei will introduce a different device, Mate 20X.
Huawei Mate 20X: The big surprise that Huawei had up his sleeve
As confirmed by this manufacturer on Twitter, Huawei will introduce the new Mate 20X. To this confirmation has been added a promotional video that lets you guess a fairly large battery and the presence of a new cooling system that should help avoid bumps in the heavier games.
Obviously, this move is quite unexpected. Thus, there are not many details ache of the next offer.
A 7.21-inch OLED screen!
However, after a bit of research everything points to a huge 7.21-inch OLED screen with a resolution of 2240 x 1080p. Internally, the Mate 20X will come equipped with the Kirin 980 chipset. Looking at the memory and storage settings previously associated with the alleged Porsche Design mobile phone, the Mate 20X should be released with 4GB, 6GB or 8GB of RAM and a variety of internal storage options ranging from 128 GB to 512 GB.
The Huawei Mate 20X will be official on October 16th. At this point, Huawei will also present the Mate 20 and an even more premium Pro model. In the same event will also be made official the new Huawei Watch GT and Freebuds 2 Pro.
Huawei Mate 20 Pro
The Mate 20 Pro, will be the version with more spotlight on top, on the 16th of October. We have even had some glimpses of its design, thanks to the many leaks of recent weeks.
In short, the Mate 20 Pro, will feature a body mostly made of curved glass, ‘glossy’. And in parallel, a backside devoid of any fingerprint sensor! In addition, the latest pictures of the device reveal that it will be available in three colors, the popular ‘Twilight’ that was successful in the P20 Pro, Black and finally Blue.
It seems that the Mate 20 Pro will have a rather curious functionality for wireless music lovers!
A rendering, reveals that Huawei will sell a kind of clone of the Apple AirPods, called ‘Freebuds 2 Pro’! They should be able to be loaded through Mate 20 Pro itself.
At the specification level, Huawei Mate 20 Pro, should have an OLED screen of 6.3 “, which is supposed to be manufactured by Samsung. However, here is not the big surprise, the real innovation is in the fingerprint sensor below this same screen.
In parallel, Huawei does not play when it aims to launch a powerful device … So your new top of the range will have lots of horses under the hood!
After all, the Mate 20 Pro will feature the company’s new 7nm processor, the Kirin 980, which features a final bet on Artificial Intelligence, and pure and tough performance.
Huawei claims that the Kirin 980 will be capable of 20% more performance, increasing energy efficiency by 40%! This, in relation to its predecessor, Kirin 970.
This processor should be accompanied by 6 or 8GB of LPDDR4X RAM.
As productivity is the main focus of the Mate 20 Pro, Huawei has assured that it will have an autonomy to match its performance! When implementing a 4200 mAh battery, that is, more 200 mAh than the Mate 10 Pro and P20 Pro.
In addition to all this, we can still count on the same P20 Pro camera system (in a slightly different configuration), although it should include some software optimizations due to the increased CPU power.
Finally, it will hit the market with the latest Google Operating System, Android 9.0 Foot ( EMUI 9 ).
Huawei Mate 20
The ‘normal’ version of Huawei Mate 20 will lose some of the key features that define its ‘Pro’ brother.
For example, the various ‘leaked’ images indicate that you will not have a fingerprint sensor on the screen … Keeping the sensor on the back, just like the Mate 10 Pro.
In parallel, the ‘notch’ should be significantly smaller, getting a ‘drop of water’ format, due to the cut of the 3D facial recognition system that equips Mate 20 Pro.
That said, the Mate 20 is likely to feature a 6.3 “(Full HD +) screen, the notch ‘drop of water’ mentioned above, a fingerprint sensor on the back … And probably the same camera system as the Pro model .
In addition, it should also have a body made up mostly of glass, maintaining the functionality of charging wirelessly.
However, interestingly, unlike the Pro version, there will be a 3.5mm headphone jack on the top!
The Kirin 980 will continue to be present, but this time it should be accompanied by only 6GB of RAM. In turn, the battery should be the same as the P20 Pro, with 4000 mAh.
