Huawei Mate 20, 20 Pro and 20 Lite: Release dates
Huawei launched Mate 10 smartphones on October 16 last year, while Mate 9 had its debut on November 3, 2016. Although unconfirmed, the company is expected to announce Huawei Mate 20 and Mate 20 Pro on same time – October or November.
With regard to the date of launch, these devices, at least Mate 20 Pro and the standard version should arrive on the European shelves one month after the officialization. The Huawei Mate 20 Lite, in turn, should be released a little earlier and possibly start to be sold before the end of August.
Straight to the point: October will be the probable date of official
Huawei Mate 20, 20 Pro and 20 Lite: Specifications and functionalities
Some elements of the XDA-Developers team have reached out to the alleged Huawei Mate 20 firmware files, which reveal some of the specs and features the smartphone can offer. The top of the range should have a 6.3-inch AMOLED screen, larger than the 5.9-inch panel found on its predecessor. Unfortunately, nothing is known about resolution or proportion. There is a possibility that Huawei will maintain the QHD resolution of Mate 10 and change the ratio from 16: 9 to 18: 9 in order to keep up with the latest trends. However, this is just speculation for now.
The firmware files also reveal that the Huawei Mate 20 can come equipped with the Kirin 980, which will likely be announced at the IFA in Berlin. According to rumors, the chipset will deliver 20% better performance and will be 40% more energy efficient than its rivals. As usual, he will also go to Huawei’s P30 series, due out next year.
The phone is expected to have 6 GB of RAM and 128 GB of storage, although there may be other variants of memory. It may have a triple camera configuration on the back, such as the P20 Pro, but again this can only happen on the Pro model.
If the rumors are true, the Huawei Mate 20 will have a 4,200mAh battery. In comparison, the Galaxy Note 9 battery has a capacity of 4,000mAh. Other specifications include wireless charging, water and dust protection, and the Android 9.0 Pie with Huawei’s EMUI on top.
The site WinFutre.de recently released some information about Mate 20 Lite, including images and specifications. They say it comes with a 6.3-inch LCD screen with a resolution of 2340 x 1080 pixels, a Kirin 710 quad-core ARM Cortex-A53 1.7 GHz and four Cortex-A73 2.2 GHz cores.
The Mate 20 Lite should also accommodate 6 GB of RAM and 64 GB of internal storage space, plus a 3650mAh battery. As for photography, WinFuture points to a dual 20MP + 2MP rear camera system and a dual 24MP + 2MP front camera.

Huawei Mate 20, 20 Pro, 20 Lite: Design
We have not yet found any screenshots of Huawei Mate 20 and 20 Pro, but some images of Mate 20 Lite have already arrived on the Internet.
However, we can not be guided by the image of Mate 20 Lite, if we want to guess the design of Mate 20 and Mate 20 Pro.
What we do know is that Mate 20 and Mate 20 Pro will likely look similar, and if the rumors are true, one will have a fingerprint reader on the front or rear on the back, while the other will come with the reader screen.
Mate 20 Price
Mate 20 smartphones with all their upgrades will probably not be cheaper than their predecessors. The best scenario would be for the price to remain unchanged, but may eventually increase.
The Mate series is usually more expensive than the P series. Considering that the P20 Pro costs 900 euros, the Mate 20 Pro can reach 950 or even 1,000 euros – reaching 200 euros more expensive than its predecessor.
