Huawei Mate 10 Lite and Huawei P10 Lite are now reaceiving Android Oreo

Huawei Mate 10 Lite and Huawei P10 Lite are two mid-range equipment from the Chinese company. Both models were unveiled last year and both officially arrived in Portugal. Now it’s time for them to start getting Android Oreo in their final, stable version.

After all the tests carried out by the Chinese company, it is time to launch the final software. Huawei is already confident that it has been able to hone all the details of this new firmware to work properly on its smartphones.

It should be noted that both models hit the market with Android Nougat. If for the Huawei P10 Lite did not seem big problem, the same we can not say for the Huawei Mate 10 Lite.

The latter, unveiled in October 2017, was the only one in his family to come up with this software version. All other Mate have brought the factory-installed Android Oreo. A small flaw of consistency in the company’s decision.

Huawei Mate 10 Lite and Huawei P10 Lite receive the final version of Android Oreo

Well, this scenario is now part of the past. Both Huawei Mate 10 Lite and Huawei P10 Lite are now starting to receive the stable version of Android Oreo, masquerading as EMUI 8.0.

The update has already begun to be distributed in Germany, so it will be a matter of time for Portugal to receive the same treatment. The package in question has a total size of 2.5GB or just 500MB for members of the beta program.

This update will bring several new features to your smartphone in addition to the Android Oreo native ones. For example, you will have a “recycling” that will keep your photos deleted in the last 30 days.

The operating system will load faster, Artificial Intelligence will enhance your user experience, redesign the settings menu and much more.

The update will arrive at the relevant equipment via OTA. For your installation, we recommend that you download via Wi-Fi so you do not sacrifice your data package. You should still have at least 50% battery on your smartphone.
