Despite everything point to this fact no one wanted to make predictions since the Honor 7X was released in December, which means that his successor would reach much earlier. In addition, the Honor ARE-AL00 features a huge 7.12-inch screen, which would be a major upgrade to the 7.9 “Honor 7X screen.
However, it seems that those who assumed that the Honor ARE-AL00 Honor 8X were correct since Honor itself launched an official teaser for Honor 8X, less than a week since the announcement at TENAA.
According to the TENAA listing, the Honor 8X will have a 7.12-inch screen with a resolution of 2244 x 1080 pixels and a monocle in the shape of a drop of water.
It will have an octa-core processor operating at 1.8GHz. Surprisingly, it does not come with a Kirin 710 processor, but with a Snapdragon 636.
This combination of a large screen and a Snapdragon 636 processor means Honor is directing the 8X as a direct competitor to Xiaomi’s Mi Max 3, which has a screen slightly smaller than 6.9 inches but the same processor.
The rest of the Honor 8X specs include 4GB or 6GB RAM and 64GB or 128GB of storage, dual 16MP + 2MP rear cameras, dual 24MP + 2MP front cameras, a rear-mounted fingerprint reader and a 4900mAh battery.
The size of the battery is a little lower than that of the Mi Max 3, which means that the Mi Max 3 should have the advantage in terms of battery life.
