Home / Apple / HomePod sales are lower than expected

HomePod sales are lower than expected

Launched in February this year, the HomePod smart speaker does not appear to be performing as expected by Apple in retail.

According to  Bloomberg, the superior audio quality of the product does not seem to justify its $ 349 price tag to consumers.

Slice Intelligence data show that in the first 10 weeks that HomePod was on the market, it accounted for only 10% of smartphone sales, compared to 14% for Google Home and 73% for Amazon Echo.

A source told the publication, Apple would have cut sales expectations and reduced orders the product from the supplier Inventec Corp. Apple did not position itself on the subject.

  1. This is bad news for apple.
To me I feel $349 is way too high for HomePod.
