If you recently visited the Android site from Google, you might notice some changes. The section with the tablets, which is located between the TV sections and the “wear”, temporarily disappeared. Google silently removed this section, which contains applications specifically for tablets, as well as lists the device models. The section disappeared on June 1.
However, soon after this section was returned. It turns out that these were just temporary malfunctions. The Google management says that when the site was updated, there was a bug that was quickly fixed.
One would think that Google decided to pay less attention to tablets in favour of other devices, like the Chromebook, but it’s not. Tablets iPad continue to dominate the market, but the tablets of other companies are not so bad. Fortunately, everything worked out, and Google is not going to throw tablets.
