Download iOS 12.1.1 for iPhone and iPad [IPSW links]

Apple has released the final version of iOS 12.1.1 for iPhone and iPad. The new version of the operating system contains many minor changes and improvements, as well as bug fixes.

Along with this, Apple also released MacOS Mojave 10.14.2, security updates for macOS Sierra and High Sierra, as well as tvOS 12.1.1.

One of the major changes in iOS 12.1.1 is that in FaceTime, the camera switch button has returned to a more comfortable position. Now it is not hidden behind several layers of the interface, as in previous versions of the system.

We also added support for previewing notifications using the Haptic Touch gesture on the iPhone XR, expanded eSIM support for the iPhone XS, XS Max and XR, and also added a Live Photo feature in FaceTime.

How to install iOS 12.1.1

The easiest way to install iOS 12.1.1 on your iPhone and iPad is “over the air” using the Software Update mechanism. To install the update you will need free memory.

Before installing the update, we recommend that you back up your device.

  1. Go to the Settings application on your iOS device, then go to Basic and Software Update .
  2. When the iOS 12.1.1 page appears, click Download and install.

iPhone or iPad will reboot to complete the installation of iOS 12.1.1.

The update can also be installed via iTunes on the computer. To do this, you need to connect the device to your computer, open the latest version of iTunes and select the “Update” option.

Upgrading using the IPSW file is recommended only for advanced users.
