Apple has completely redesigned the iPad Pro line, making it look like an iPhone line. In addition to the thin frames, the new tablets have rounded corners and edges. No headphone jack. The new Liquid Retina display supports ProMotion, TrueTone, expanded colour gamut and other technologies as previous iPad Pros.
The small iPad Pro now has an 11-inch display, but in size, it is like the old 10.5-inch. The 12.9-inch iPad Pro has the same display, but the tablet itself is now much smaller. Both models are 5.9mm thick.
The lack of frames also means the absence of the Home and Touch ID buttons. The old technology has been replaced by Face ID, which operates on the basis of the TrueDepth camera located on the notch. Apple improved the Face ID technology by adding face recognition in a horizontal position.
The A12X Bionic processor in the new iPad Pro line is even more powerful than the A12 Bionic in the iPhone XS and iPhone XR line. It consists of an 8-core CPU and a 7-core GPU. According to Apple, the new iPad Pro lineup is faster than 92% of existing PCs. The new graphics processor works 1000 times better, it can be compared with the Xbox One processor. Thanks to the new T2 chip in the iPad Pro, we managed to add up to 1TB of memory.
The new iPad Pro lineup supports Gigabit LTE, Bluetooth 5.0 and eSIM technology. The system of 4 speakers has been improved – now it provides enhanced stereo sound.
Apple switched to USB-C to support external USB-C devices. Musical instruments, external displays, etc. will be supported. Moreover, iPad Pro can be used to charge iPhone and other devices.
Together with the iPad Pro was presented and the new Apple Pencil. It is magnetically attached to the tablet and charges automatically. According to rumors, the stylus supports a new system of gestures. Despite all the improvements, the new iPad Pro can work up to 10 hours, and now they come bundled with a 18W power adapter for charging.
The new 11-inch iPad Pro is from 65990 p. and is available with 64GB, 256GB, 512GB and 1TB of memory. 12.9-inch model is from 81990 p. and is available in the same options. Options with LTE are 11,000 more expensive. Pre-order can be done from today, and in the stores new tablets will appear on November 7.
