Apple released the second beta versions of iOS 12.1, watchOS 5.1 and tvOS 12.1

Apple released iOS 12 in September, and now the company continues to gradually release beta versions of subsequent mobile operating system updates.

Today Apple released the second beta versions of iOS 12.1 and watchOS 5.1 for developers and public beta testers. These will be minor updates for both platforms, aimed at fixing bugs and improving system performance.

However, it is worth noting that iOS 12.1 still contains several new features. The main one is support for FaceTime conferences, in which up to 32 users can participate simultaneously. ICloud sync for Memoji has also been added to the first beta update. In addition, Face ID support in horizontal mode was detected in the update code, which means the feature will be available for future iPad Pro models. In iOS 12.1, they also activate support for eSIM technology, however, the operators themselves will also have to activate it.

10 Ways to Make iOS 12 Features More Convenient

Registered developers and members of the public beta testing program can download the second beta version of iOS 12.1 in Settings via the Software Update mechanism. In addition, the new version can be downloaded from the Apple site for developers.

To install the new watchOS 5.1 beta, Apple Watch needs to be charged at least 50% and connected to a power source, as well as located near the iPhone. New beta tvOS 12.1 should download and install automatically in the background.
