The software is now final and is in the hands of those who are subscribed to Google’s Android Preview initiative. The Developer Preview of Android Marshmallow is now available to Nexus phones owners. Within the next few weeks, the official launching of the new Nexus 5 and 6 will be held, alongside the release of Google’s newest OS. However, for those non-Nexus users, the Android Marshmallow will be on-hand until late 2015 or early 2016.
The Android Marshmallow will debut on September 29, as previously reported by VCPost. Google’s 2015 Nexus event will also be held on that date, with the unveiling of LG Nexus 5X and Huawei Nexus. These latest Nexus smartphones are said to be the first device to receive the new build, and pre-orders will start on October 13.
In addition, the new software will be slightly different from the previous build, the Android Lollipop. The difference will be seen in the back end, which will be completely changed, making it more secure, power-efficient, and tighter.
The Android Pay will also be shipped inside the Android 6.0 Marshmallow. This might be the reason why a lot of Android handsets with fingerprint scanners will be out in the market for the coming months.
