Hacker stole data of 70 million subscribers of the American cellular operator AT & T and demands a million dollars

Less than a week after hackers stole customer data from US cellular operator T-Mobile , AT&T, another North American cellular provider , was leaked. It is reported that the data of 70 million of the company's customers were stolen, although AT&T itself denies this.

The Restore Privacy resource reported that the attacker is selling a database with personal data that allegedly belongs to 70 million AT&T subscribers. This information even includes social security numbers, as well as dates of birth and other personal information. The hacker is going to sell the entire database for one million dollars.

In a message posted on a hacker forum, the attacker posted a small sample of the data he had. Experts studied it and found it to be genuine. In addition, the user who posted it has a good history of serious data breaches. The experts point out that there is little data they have reviewed to confirm that AT&T is the source. However, the hacker's reputation makes you believe in his words.

It is also reported that the hacker is working on decrypting data, which, in his opinion, contains the PIN codes of user accounts. He said he was ready to reach an agreement with AT&T to remove user data from sale.
