Aston Martin Valhalla is powered by a 1000 hp Mercedes AMG hybrid V8 engine

Aston Martin CEO Tobias Morse has officially announced that Aston Martin's latest mid-engined supercar will be powered by a Mercedes AMG V8 hybrid engine. Previously, this supercar was supposed to use Aston Martin's own twin-turbo V6 engine with a power of about one thousand horsepower.

As a result, Aston Martin will consider a completely new design for this product, and the shape and image of this product will be completely different from the 2019 model that will be displayed at the Geneva Motor Show.

With the start of the Corona Pandemic, all of the automakers' plans have changed, and with Aston Martin increasingly moving towards electric models, it no longer makes sense to invest in developing a completely new engine, and from the existing Mercedes AMG platform, which is a V8 unit. Is will benefit.

However, Aston Martin will place this engine in the center of the chassis, as a result of which it will have structural differences with Mercedes products, which will be offered as a front engine.

Tobias Morse was the director of Mercedes-AMG from 2013 to 2020 and was transferred to the company due to the close business relationship between Mercedes and Aston Martin.

The Aston Martin Valhalla was to reach customers with more than 1,000 horsepower. Tobias Morse has stated that Aston Martin still aims to achieve this amount of power, and in addition to the V8 engine, it will use new electric turbochargers as well as electric propulsion on the front axle of this product.

Aston Martin Valhalla will arrive in the second half of 2023.

Another highly anticipated product, the Aston Martin Valkyrie supercar, will go into production this year to compete directly with another British hypercar, the Gordon Murray T50.

In any case, it seems that an exciting future awaits sports car enthusiasts.
