These are the smartphones that Google recommends for Youtube

Youtube is one of the most successful Google platforms. Right behind the Google search, YouTube is increasingly used on smartphones and computers. Computers are slowly starting to be less used, we have a full notion of this. Our audience is mostly mobile and the PC is gradually disappearing.

Of course, nothing replaces the big screen of a computer, except a television. Even so, I think we can agree that YouTube on the PC and on the smartphone is more organized than on a smartTV.

Almost all (if not all) smartphones in the world get access to Youtube. Unless a particular country blocks access to the website. But in Google’s eyes only a few devices will give you a fantastic viewing experience.

Galaxy Note 9 leads the list of smartphones recommended by Google for Youtube

This list is made using the screen, the codecs they use for video playback and the quality of the smartphone itself. Both because Google chose a huge amount of smartphones tops range and no mid-range. The list is led by the Samsung Galaxy Note 9 that was unveiled yesterday by Samsung. It is curious to see the Xiaomi Mi 8, Mi Mix 2S and Nokia 8 Sirocco in the list.

Xiaomi Mi Mix 2S Emerald Green unveiled

A funny fact is that even Google is confused with Xiaomi smartphones. Although I mentioned that the Mi Mix 2S is perfect for Youtube, the photo of the smartphone is Mi Mix 2.

Was this a tip for Xiaomi to calm down with the releases or from nowhere we do not know which is which?

List of smartphones recommended by Google

  • Sony Xperia XZ2 Premium
  • HTC U12 +
  • OnePlus 6

This does not mean that the other devices are not good for playing videos on Youtube. It just means that Google believes you’ll be more satisfied with the experience on your platform if you use one of these.
