Samsung is working on Android Oreo for the Samsung Galaxy A8

Introduced in December 2017 and launched in January 2018 the Samsung Galaxy A8 and Samsung Galaxy A8 Plus are based on the Android Nougat operating system . Now the  South Korea company confirms that it is working on the Android Oreo update.

This is the latest version of Google’s operating system, Android Oreo was released in August 2017. That said, we could think that the new Samsung Galaxy A8 came to market with this version. After all, it would be long between August and January 2017.

Should that happen we would not be here today to report the Android Oreo for these Samsung Galaxy A8. In fact, in an ideal world, one would expect that, one to two months after the release of the product, the latest version of the operating system would arrive on mobile devices.

Obviously, this has not happened and there is not even a date scheduled for the start of distribution of this update. What’s more, Samsung Galaxy A8 mid-range / high-end devices priced at around € 500 would expect some serious attention to system upgrades.

Android Oreo will eventually reach the Samsung Galaxy A8 and A8 Plus

Although the terminals receive monthly (and quarterly in the case of Plus), Google security updates, system updates are waiting. Although this posture of the brand is not at all praiseworthy, we know that both devices will eventually be updated. The world’s largest maker of mobile devices does not advance dates but has already guaranteed that Android Oreo is being prepared for the Samsung Galaxy A8. The latest version of the system will arrive with Samsung Experience 9.0 UX.

The confirmation of the Android Oreo is being prepared for the Samsung Galaxy A8 was first-hand advanced by the publication  GalaxyClub.nl. The Dutch portal dedicated to the designs of the South Korean company saw its report confirmed by the sources of the portal  Sammobile .

Android Oreo will arrive with Samsung Experience 9.0

These two sources dedicated to Samsung claim that the company started (only) now working on Android Oreo for these smartphones. Still, your users are still confined to the previous version of Google’s operating system. In fact, judging by the date of update of its predecessors, between July and August, the wait will still be long.

Samsung Galaxy Note 9 Everything You Should know

If history repeats itself, Android P will be displayed (and made available) before the Samsung Galaxy A8 and A8 Plus receive Android Oreo. For now, all we can do is wait for the company to finalize this new firmware (system software).

We also know that the new  firmware for the Samsung Galaxy A8 is identified by the build number  A530FXXU2BRDx . At this point the firmware based on Android Nougat is identified by the build number  A530FXXU2ARD3 .

As soon as we have news regarding this update, you will be the first to know.
