The new top of the Taiwan-based manufacturer, ASUS ZenFone 5Z and the top of the Chinese manufacturer, Xiaomi Mi MIX 2S are no longer the record holders of AnTuTu. The test platform now has a new leader, the Nubia Z18 from China’s ZTE.
Tests performed by benchmark platforms do not translate properly into the day-to-day experience. They are generic tests that aim to evaluate and quantify the potential of each component or task tested in a certain smartphone.
Platforms like Geekbench, AnTuTu and several others, give us a final score that allows us to compare one device with the other. Having said this, if until now the absolute record holder of AnTuTu was ASUS ZenFone 5Z, we now have a new leader.
Note that ASUS ZenFone 5Z has recently surpassed the previous leader, the Xiaomi Mi MIX 2S of the 4th largest manufacturer in the world.
Nubia Z18 beats Xiaomi Mi MIX 2S and ASUS ZenFone 5Z on AnTuTu
Now, it’s the ZTE Nubia Z18 that belongs to the AnTuTu record. This of course, if the image recently shared on the internet has some foundation of truth. Note that both the Asus Zenfone 5Z like Xiaomi Mi MIX use 2S CPU Snapdragon 845 from Qualcomm, as well as a total of 8GB RAM. Features that make them top of the range smartphones equipped to the highest level. However, the new ZTE Nubia seems to have surpassed both terminals in AnTuTu. The numbers speak for themselves.
AnTuTu platform is used to gauge the potential of devices
A complete surprise this comes from the Nubia Z18, an Android device that has not yet been officially presented. However, a few months ago the Chinese manufacturer introduced the Nubia Z18 mini.
The Nubia Z18 has already been certified by the TENAA agency. According to its listing, the smartphone will have a screen with 5.99 inches of diagonal. It has a Full-HD + resolution of 1080 x 2160 pixels. It will also have a double rear camera, with a sensor of 24 and the other still of unknown resolution.
It will also feature a fingerprint reader / biometric sensor on the back, as well as an 8MP camera on the front. It will be powered by a 3350mAh capacity battery.
Now, we expect the official presentation of the standard version with the promise of great speed, fluidity and processing power.
