After revealing the smartphone to dedicated media in the last week of April in China, HMD Global now officially introduces the Nokia X6. This is a new smartphone with the Android 8.1 platform and Oreo visible similarities with the iPhone X of Apple is that not cool.
The Finnish manufacturer has created this product specifically for the Chinese market, currently the world’s largest mobile device market. The stage where even Apple is having some difficulties in climbing in the Top 5 of the largest manufacturers.
Indeed, in China it is the “household” manufacturers who order the most. Already on the other hand the weight and nostalgia of the Nokia brand were a powerful enough factor to motivate the creation of this Nokia X6.
Still, the demand and desire for the iPhone X is a constant, with price the only obstacle. Against this background, HMD Global has decided to create an offer for the existing demand. The result? Until then known as Nokia X, it is now official with the name Nokia X6.
The new Nokia X6 comes with Android Oreo 8.1
Made the introductory and contextual preamble, in the new Nokia X6 we have a smartphone with the Android platform Oreo 8.1. This is the latest version of the Google operating system, being present in just over 0.8% of the devices in May 2018. The software is not distributed through the Android One program since most of Google’s services are blocked in China. Still, we’ll have a nearly pure version of Android Oreo 8.1 on this new “brother” of the iPhone X.
Its building materials are the metal (structure) with the glass to be coated on its front and rear panel. We have here protection provided by Corning’s Gorilla Glass 3 glass for scratch and fall resistance.

Here we have a dual camera on its rear with vertical alignment, with the LED flash just below. Here, for all intents and purposes, we will look similar to OnePlus 6. We also have your fingerprint reader / biometric sensor on the back panel.
In short, the whole look is extremely careful, elegant and contemporary with rounded corners. Its margins or bezels frames are greatly reduced, although its “chin”, lower margin is not as shallow as in the iPhone X.
Its “notch”, notch, cutout or monocle counts with reduced dimensions, housing its front camera, sensors and earpiece. Its dimensions are similar to those of Huawei P20 , Honor 10 , among others.
It is the first “X” and features Artificial Intelligence (AI)
At the level of artificial intelligence (AI), the new Nokia X6 will bring new functions in your camera to mediate automatic scene recognition/shooting mode. Already your screen, with IPS LCD technology and Full-HD + resolution, therefore 1080 x 2280 pixels.
We have here a total of 5.8 inches of diagonal with the aspect, shape or standard 19: 9 to accommodate the above-mentioned notch. It is undoubtedly one of its best aspects, being the main “window” of contact with the Nokia X6.
The Nokia X6 comes with Android 8.1 Oreo us with the mobile platform Snapdragon 636 from Qualcomm. It is a mid-range / high-end mobile processor/processor with 8 processing cores ( octa-core ) with a maximum processing frequency of 1.8 GHz (64 bits). We also have the Adreno 509 graphics.

The new “brother” of the iPhone X is available in 4GB and 6GB of RAM. At the internal storage level we have 32GB and 64GB in each version. You can also use a microSD memory card for expansion.
Already on the back of the new Nokia X6 we have two sensors (dual camera), the first with a resolution of 16MP, RGB sensor with f / 2.0 focal aperture. The second auxiliary sensor captures black and white (B & W) images with f / 2.2 focal aperture.

The Nokia X6 has dual-SIM hybrid connectivity. That is, you can use one of these slots for the microSD card if you do not want to place two nano SIM cards. We also have Bluetooth 5.0 connectivity that allows you to pair with more than one device at a time.

You’ll also find a 3060mAh battery with Quick Charge technology from Qualcomm, Quick Charge 3.0. It also has a Type C USB port on its lower edge.
The “brother” of the iPhone X measures 147.2 x 70.98 x 7.99-8.59mm (height x width x thickness), weighing a total of 151 grams.
Already at the price level, the Nokia X6 costs the equivalent of $ 204 or 170 euros for the 32GB + 4GB version. Already the version with 64GB + 4GB costs the equivalent of 235 dollars or 197 euros.
Already the top version with 64GB of internal storage and 6GB of RAM costs the equivalent of $ 267 or 225 euros. At the moment we do not have any information about a possible expansion to new markets beyond China.
