With the OnePlus 6 already ready to be officially unveiled, the Chinese technology has not wasted time and has already released several teasers of the products. Now, it’s only a matter of days before we officially meet, but by then we already have one of the first real images of the so-called smartphone. It will come equipped with Snapdragon 845 and the Android Oreo operating system.
The software level will effectively count with the latest version of Google’s mobile operating system. Android Oreo is the 8th version of this OS and will arrive “masked” with the brand’s own interface, OxygenOS which adds several functions to the system. In fact, it is one of the great strengths of the brand, being simple, effective and very intuitive.
Now we have a pretty revealing image. Show us here the supposed OnePlus 6, what is our surprise when we actually have several similarities to the OPPO R15. I recall that OPPO, like Vivo and OnePlus are owned by the same multi-national, BBK Eletronics . Having said that, in the past we would see several points of contact between OPPO R11 and R11s and OnePlus 5 and 5T . History has a tendency to repeat itself.
Now, with the bridges between both well-established brands, as we look at the OnePlus 6, we will know that its design will not be exactly the most original. That is, in recent years the brand has the habit already marked to be inspired by current market trends. Well, if in recent years the OPPO’s were the source of inspiration, the iPhone’s were also high on the list of “guides”.
OnePlus 6 will arrive with the Snapdragon 845 processor
Of course, it should be noted that this photograph may be no more than a farce and that the final product may bear no resemblance to the one depicted in the photograph. Still, after Carl Pei, (VP), has already confirmed the notch, photography begins to gain credibility. What’s more, we also know that it will come with the Qualcomm Snapdragon 845 processor. The presence of this Snapdragon had already been mentioned over and over again, being able to be checked in the image – “Qualcomm Snapdragon 845”, then the first parameter.
Android Oreo operating system with OxygenOS interface
Well, although the photograph seems to have been taken with a potato (or tekpix), the truth is that the elements end up beating right. The notch or notch there is, right at the top, incredibly visible, even on an AMOLED screen. However, on the other hand, its size is relatively modest. Moreover, its shape is not devoid of a certain elegance.
It should be noted that “notch” is an intermediate step until the user can enjoy a truly borderless smartphone. From a truly complete display. Until all sensors, front camera and handset can be embedded on the screen, we will have to live with the notch.
8GB of RAM, 256GB of internal storage in OnePlus 6
Now, for this OnePlus 6 with Snapdragon 845 would it be inevitable? I think so, at least to give us a radically different aspect of OnePlus 5T. Recall that this last top of the range would be officially presented in mid-November 2017. Now, about 5 months after his presentation we are already talking about his successor. Well, or rather, to see his successor already ready to be released.
Still, something that deserves to be mentioned is the very small “chin” on this smartphone equipped with Snapdragon 845. Here we have various hardware and firmware information thanks to the AIDA64 application that reveals the details of OnePlus 6. We can see the reference to the Snapdragon, their cores (8) and the processing frequencies.
Android Oreo, Snapdragon 845 and a new finish?
It is also expected that this terminal will bring a new finish to your rear panel. Indeed, it is expected to be a similar finish to wood. Something similar to what we already have in the protective covers for this terminal with a similar finish to the organic material? Yes, at least this seems to indicate the image recently shared by the Twitter account manager @evleaks.
In terms of technical specifications, the smartphone should keep the 3.5mm audio jack port. We will also have at least two variants of memory with 6GB or 8GB of RAM. Plus, with 128GB or 256GB of internal storage. Still, there may still be a third variant, more economical, with 64GB of internal storage. It should be noted that the terminal should not rely on expansion via microSD memory card.
Can this terminal with Android Oreo surprise again?
We have a new 6.28-inch diagonal display, Optic OLED technology and Full-HD + resolution. It will have a 19: 9 format to accommodate the notch on its top. However, this can be disabled if the user so wishes. Moreover, we will of course have the Dash Charge technology for fast loading and new gestures for navigation on the smartphone.
OnePlus 6 will most likely be announced during this month of April. In addition, we will have their arrival in markets soon after, in early May. However, with the brand to “hasten” its launches, we began to question the reasonableness of this strategy.
In any case, it will be very short until we can still all our doubts, the price being one of them.
