At the MWC 2018, Doogee showed the flagship V smartphone, which combines the three main functions of the year: a minimal-frame display, a dual camera and a fingerprint scanner on the screen. In addition to this gadget, the manufacturer demonstrated some more interesting prototypes.
Doogee V is equipped with a 6.21-inch AMOLED-display with a resolution of 2248×1080 pixels, which covers 94.85% of the front panel of the smartphone. The surface of the screen is sensitive to the force of pressing, and the upper part is occupied by a U-shaped island with a speaker and a front camera. Under the screen glass is an integrated fingerprint scanner – the sensor works thanks to the light from individual pixels, so it is only available for devices with AMOLED displays.
Inside the Doogee V there are 128GB of storage and 8GB of RAM from Samsung. Doogee emphasizes that the smartphone uses one RAM module, and not a pair of chips with a capacity of 4 GB. The battery capacity is 4,000 mAh, and you can charge the gadget without wires.
The back panel of the device is decorated with a dual camera with Sony modules for 16 and 8 megapixels. Also Doogee mentioned the presence in the smartphone of two stereo speakers and a dedicated AI-chip.
In addition to the flagship, Doogee introduced a folding display. For the purpose of demonstration, the company installed a special mechanism that bent the OLED-matrix with the video running on it, and also showed a pair of devices in the form of cylinders with panoramic screens.
