On Thursday, the World Intellectual Property Organization approved the Samsung patent for a bent smartphone. According to rumours, the South Korean manufacturer uses these developments in the new line of Galaxy X, which can debut in the next year. Thanks to the patent it was possible to find out what will be the first flexible smartphone Samsung.
The concept of the Galaxy X fully corresponds to the one that appeared in the early leaks. The patent describes a device in two parts with screens that are separated by a movable hinge. Aspect ratio of the display will be the same as the current Infinity Display, – 18.5: 9.
Let’s remind, Samsung tries to let out the flexible smartphone on the market already more than five years, but constantly faces problems in manufacture. This time the company plans to release an unusual novelty not later than in 2019, but the release may be postponed again, as it happened before.
Recall, in addition to Samsung, over a flexible device can work Huawei, OPPO, Sony, LG, Vivo and ZTE.
