Nokia 6 gets February security update

February brings with it the Mobile World Congress 2018 and a whole new role of system software updates for Nokia 6 devices, among others. Once you have started receiving the Android Oreo, now the TA-1021 model has already started receiving the February security update patch.

This is a new system update (also based on Android Oreo) for the Nokia 6 smartphone from HMD Global. This was one of the first, if not the first Nokia to take in the sights since the brand returned to the mobile market. Now, a year after its introduction, it remains as captivating as the day it was released.

This update is also coming to Nokia 8, 2 and 3. This is the February security patch and has already reached several markets.

Nokia 2 gets new security update, yet no Android Oreo

This is a new update that is coming to users via OTA ( over the air ). As soon as it arrives you will receive a notification that will alert you to the arrival of the update. Then you just have to accept and start downloading the February security update patch. Let me also remind you that you should charge the battery of your device to 50% upward before installing the new firmware update.

Please note that this security update is extremely important. It is based on Android Oreo and comes to fix several security vulnerabilities. Fixes some vulnerabilities in the Media framework that could allow hackers to remotely access your smartphone. They could run code on smartphones even after they have received the Android Oreo version of the system that promises enhanced security.

The February security update for the Nokia 6 TA-1021 weighs about 171.4 MB. Already for the variant TA-1033 will arrive a new system file with 1760 MB that will bring the system update for Android Oreo.

And you, have you received the new update on your smartphone?
